Christmas Night Hang

It is Christmas. I'm with my dad, visiting our family in California. Karl is hosting the Wednesday Night Hang tonight. He tells me what the sets will be and I say that I don't know one of the tunes. He says that every piano player doesn't know that tune and that I will hear it. I am flying around with some guy, I think it's Daniel Freedman, and he is ranting about the window installation business. My dad wants to get up at 6 a.m. to go Christmas shopping. We do it, and when we get home I fall asleep till 2 p.m. I receive a Google chat message from someone I went to high school with. I ask my mom what is going on that night. She says our family is visiting, including my cousin Guillaume and two other people I've never heard of. I tell her that I have to play the Wednesday Night Hang. She finds it crazy that they are doing it on Christmas. I make a joke that it's a good thing because now I don't have to hang around with our family. My dad laughs.
