London Myst

Alex Campbell decides to attend the U of M jazz camp, which is taking place at Vincent Massey Collegiate.
I go to visit Mark and Joanna in London, Ontario, but somehow Joanna is someone else. Mark and "Joanna" pick me up from the airport. We are staying at their friends' place, a couple. When we get there, I realize that I left my bag at the airport. Mark and the guy go back to the airport to get it for me. I realize after they leave that they will have no way of knowing which bag is mine. It is just a basic blue bag and I don't think it has my name on it. They come back in a while and somehow they have found the bag.
The girl that we are staying with invites me to go to some sort of secret thing later that night. I show up and it is in a cave. I climb up a ladder and there is some big adventure type game going on. It is a lot like the computer game Myst. You just have to walk around a bunch of rooms that have stuff lying around and look for clues. I can't figure anything out. There are lots of other people playing the game. I just end up walking around in a bunch of different rooms. For some reason I become really stressed that I can't figure anything out.

Deadly scorpion

I am in my room working at my computer. Some scorpion-type creature comes in. I remember it from the other day, but I had forgotten about it. Somehow I think it is deadly. It comes toward me. I avoid it. It chases me around the room for a while. I douse it with poison and try to squish it but it will not die. I start chatting online with someone. I tell her that I have tried everything including poison and it will not die. She tells me I am going about it all wrong. I ask her if I am supposed to befriend the scorpion and she says yes. This annoys me because I have a fear of bugs and insects and I don't want to overcome my fear and befriend this scorpion. I start clearing out my emails.

Stuck in Brandon

I am in Brandon doing a gig with the Winnipeg Symphony. We are on the bus waiting to leave, but for some reason we can't leave yet. I get a call from Ed, who used to be the tour manager for Maynard Ferguson. I tell him that we are just leaving Brandon and I should at the Academy in Winnipeg in 30 or 40 minutes. There is a party there. I say, "You know how it is, you're a tour manager!" He understands. The bus still will not leave. I just start walking around Brandon with Peder MacLellan. We go into a bunch of abandoned buildings.

Retro Rhythm Review plays a wedding

I am on a wedding gig with Retro Rhythm Review. Peder is on bass. I show up to the gig and we are playing on some weird slanted bleachers, and Peder says I should set up beside him. I say that it will be impossible because my keyboard will just slide down and I can't play at an angle. I point out that the top of the bleachers is flat and I decide to set up there. I go to get my gear. There is a violinist playing in another room. I overhear Neil talking to the bride and saying how amazing the violinist sounds. I continue back to the gig room. The bleachers we are playing on are no longer slanted and they are much larger. As I'm entering the room, some random woman is saying that our sound check is starting now. I have not even started setting up but everyone else in the band is ready to play. I am panicking to get set up. I go to the very top of the bleachers and start setting up but I realize I have left one of my cables at home. I am distressed.
